Scabbards And Displays
We are working to bring
you authentic reproductions of the scabbards from the Conan films,
patterned from film-used originals and hand-made by master leather
craftsmen Rob McCall, Eric McHugh and Kevin Iseli.
These are exact reproductions with only one difference -- some internal
structural improvements have been made to make the scabbards more
durable than the original film prop.
These items are not only accessories to the swords but collector's
items in their own right.
Scabbards will be completed and shipped in the order that they are
reserved, based on availability of the natural materials used. |

Conan
the Barbarian
Atlantean Scabbard #1
This
is the scabbard which was presumably made from the skins of the
wolves that attacked Conan near the Atlantean Crypt. The core
is of thick stitched leather and the outer wrapping is natural
coyote fur (as on the original). The carrying straps are calfskin
and feature both a shoulder strap and two loops for belt attachment.
Our recreation of this scabbard was modeled from an original prop
scabbard in a private collection which we were allowed to borrow
and document. More than one original was used during filming --
one version has the head of the coyote, the other does not. We
can make both versions, but skins with heads still attached are
more rare and more expensive. Only 1,000 of these scabbards will
be made and each scabbard will be accompanied by a certificate
of authenticity.
Atlantean
Scabbard #1 (no head, as pictured)... $777
Atlantean Scabbard #1a (with head)... $999

scabbard appears during Conan's journeys through Zamora and other
cities.
It is a variation of Scabbard #1, with a different strapping that
features hand-made domed diamond studs. The core is of thick

and the outer wrapping is natural coyote fur (with head, as on the
original).
Our recreation of this scabbard was modeled from an original prop
scabbard in the collection of director John Milius. Only 1,000 of
these scabbards will be made and each scabbard will be accompanied
by a certificate of authenticity.

hand-made of bronze. The scabbard has a stitched belt loop and "D"

Conan

Father's Sword Scabbard #2
This scabbard is based on production drawings by Ron Cobb, designed
by Howy and Eric McHugh. Though this scabbard never appeared in
the film, we thought it would be good to have an alternative to
the snake-motif scabbard.
The scabbard features a leather core, bronze chape and a decoration
of raised molded leather. Only 1,000 of these scabbards will be
made and each scabbard will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
